World's oldest shipwreck found off coast of Turkey

Archaeologists have discovered what is believed to be the world's oldest known shipwreck off the coast of Kekova Island in Turkey. Dating back 4,400 to 4,700 years to the Early Bronze Age, the vessel was discovered approximately 30 meters underwater. While the wooden hull did not survive, researchers found numerous ceramic storage pots, known as amphorae, along with stone anchors. Some of the pots still retain traces of their ancient cargo, offering a unique glimpse into early Mediterranean trade.
