Disney+ to Name Australia Commissioner and Expand Regional Output
Disney+ is preparing to appoint a new commissioner in Australia and is considering a return to production in Southeast Asia. Jon Wax, executive VP of international original television, revealed these Asia-Pacific plans at the Busan International Film Festival. The streaming giant is currently working to triple its global local-language output, increasing investment in Australia while evaluating specific titles in markets like Indonesia.
