Ben Affleck Returns with Netflix Kidnapping Thriller 'Animals'
Ben Affleck's sixth directorial outing, the Netflix thriller "Animals," offers a slick, fast-paced dive into pulpy morality and cynical politics. Starring Affleck alongside Kerry Washington, Steven Yeun, and Gillian Anderson, the film bypasses theatrical release for streaming. While carrying heavy tones of political satire and marital melodrama, the movie functions best as disposable, highly engaging entertainment rather than heavy prestige cinema.
